Safety & QA / QC

No shortcuts.
No exceptions.

Safety and quality are not separate from execution at Nelvamar, they are the execution. Same crew, same supervision, same accountability.

Safety

Safety is line management's responsibility.

At Nelvamar, the foreman owns safety on the deck, not a remote department. Our supervisors are accountable for the daily JSA, the pre job brief, the hot work permit, and the stop work authority of every craft member on their crew.

We build our safety program around OSHA 1910 and 1926, owner site requirements, and the basic principle that nobody on a Nelvamar crew goes home worse than they showed up.

Safety Program

Foundations.

The baseline we run every Nelvamar project to, before any owner specific requirements are added on top.

  • OSHA 1910 (General Industry) and 1926 (Construction) compliance
  • Site specific safety plans aligned to owner requirements
  • Daily JSAs, pre job briefs, and hot work permitting
  • Confined space entry, LOTO, and elevated work programs
  • Stop work authority for every craft member on every crew
  • Drug & alcohol screening per industry and owner standards
  • Incident investigation and root cause discipline
  • Safety leadership directly accountable to project management
Quality / QA / QC

If the code requires it, we already do it.

Welder qualification to ASME Section IX. Structural welding to AWS D1.1. Process piping to ASME B31.3. Power piping to ASME B31.1. NDE coordinated in house. Material traceability to MTRs.

Our QA/QC program is built into the same crew that performs the work, not bolted on after the fact. Inspections, documentation, and turnover packages are part of the scope from day one.

ASME Section IX ASME B31.1 ASME B31.3 AWS D1.1 ASNT NDE OSHA 1910 / 1926 WPS / PQR MTRs & Traceability
Documentation

Turnover packages, done right.

When we hand a job back, it comes with the paperwork that proves it was built to code.

Weld Logs & Maps

Per joint weld logs with welder ID, WPS reference, NDE results, and isometric reference.

Material Traceability

MTRs for all pressure retaining and code components, cross referenced to installed locations.

NDE Records

RT, UT, PT, and MT reports with reviewer signoff and any necessary re test history.

Hydro & Pressure Tests

Test packages, charts, signoffs, and witness records bundled with the line list.

PMI / Hardness

Positive material identification and hardness testing where required by code or specification.

As Builts

Marked up isos and arrangement drawings reflecting actual field installation.
